Frequently asked questions
Reflexology isn't suitable for everyone. Before an appointment is confirmed, a completed consultation form is required to ensure the treatment is safe for you.
Many people feel deeply relaxed, while others feel energised. It can provide an emotional release, so you may feel a need to cry. As the body rebalances, it is normal to feel tired, lightheaded, or experience a mild headache and slight nausea. These are very short-lived side effects.
Hydration is essential! Please sip water before and after your treatment. Aim to be restful for the remainder of the day, and avoid strenuous exercise or stimulants like caffeine.
The session lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Your feet will be cleansed and sanitised. The treatment begins with a gentle warm-up and ends with a warm-down massage.
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your feet, ankles, and lower legs.
It is common to feel "crunchy" areas on the feet. Historically, these were thought to be a build-up of lactic and uric acid. However, recent studies suggest these may be areas of tangled nervous tissue.
While it is believed that "crunchy areas" may highlight congestion in the body, reflexology cannot replace the expertise of medical professionals. It is a complementary therapy and is not used to detect or heal health issues. Its purpose is to promote well-being and support the body’s natural healing and detoxification processes.
It can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly. It really depends on how you feel and if you find it beneficial.
The price is £45, and payment can be made by card or cash. (I prefer card payments, but either is fine).
That is fine. All I ask is that you let me know as soon as possible. This allows the appointment to be made available for others.
